A couple of weeks ago it was our student graduation. I find this time in the academic calendar to be a very rewarding one. The graduation gives me a chance to catch up with students who have left, and to find out how they are getting on. I love to be there and celebrate with them their success. Many have found employment, which is no mean feat in this current climate. And there is always cause for a bit of a night out afterwards!

Elizabeth (another lecturer) and myself ended up heading out to meet friends and partners to keep the celebrations going a little longer. We headed to a great wee indie club night on the south side of Glasgow called ibop. It’s only on once a month and finishes early by club standards, but you always have a good night. And this was no exception!
